    COMMON ACRONYMS AND ABBREVIATIONS


    Here are some common acronyms you may see around the forum, most of them medical terms. This is by no means a complete list, so if you happen to see an acronym or abbreviation somewhere that we used and didn't identify, by all means, let us know so we can add it to the list! Also, if you think of anything that should be added, also let us know.


    THE ACRONYMS

    * BP - Blood Pressure
    * CAT - Computerized Axial Tomagraphy
    * DNR - Do Not Resuscitate
    * EMT - Emergency Medical Technician
    * ER - Emergency Room
    * MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit
    * MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging
    * NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
